On December 7 2023, the Hainan Arbitration Center of the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (the "CIETAC Hainan Arbitration Center") went to Wenchang International Aerospace City to carry out the activity of international arbitration entering the park. Utilizing the platform of the "Hundred Enterprises and Thousand Talents" International Trade Talent Training Course organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Hainan Sub-council, the second session of the Free Trade Port Commercial Dispute Resolution - Theory and Practice Salon (the "Salon") established by the CIETAC Hainan Arbitration Center also officially began at this event. The theme of this training course is "International Commercial Certification, Interpretation of High Standard Economic and Trade Rules, and Legal Services in Foreign Commercial Matters". It is hosted by the CCPIT Hainan Sub-council and Wenchang International Aerospace City Administration, and co organized by the CIETAC Hainan Arbitration Center and the Hainan Aerospace City International Trade Co., Ltd.

Zhang Rusheng, Deputy Director of the Wenchang Aerospace City Administration, delivered a speech at the event. He stated that Wenchang International Aerospace City is one of the 13 key parks of Hainan Free Trade Port. Combining advantages in policies, geography, and industry, it integrates "aerospace+" industry resources, actively builds a convenient and open trade environment, and provides a broader development platform for enterprises. This training course will actively support foreign trade enterprises in acquiring new customers and orders, improve the level of trade facilitation, assist foreign trade enterprises in going global, and contribute to the high-quality development of Hainan Free Trade Port.

In the "Legal Services for Foreign Business" section, Ms. Lv Yan, Deputy Secretary General of the CIETAC Hainan Arbitration Center, with the theme of "Analysis from the Perspective of Arbitration Institutions - International Trade Dispute Resolution and Legal Risk Prevention", combined with common problems in international trade cases, analyzed the importance of arbitration in resolving cross-border commercial disputes. By analyzing the current situation of international arbitration and arbitration in China, Ms. Lv Yan emphasized the advantageous position of the CIETAC as one of the most popular international arbitration institutions in the world. She was interpreting the elements to be taken into account when signing a valid arbitration agreement in the "Signing of Arbitration Agreement" section in detail, providing participants with risk prevention strategies in arbitration proceedings. Ms. Lv Yan stated that the CIETAC Hainan Arbitration Center will fully leverage its advantages in the future, actively provide convenient and efficient diversified dispute resolution services to commercial entities in the region, and make due contributions to promoting Hainan to become the "preferred place" for dispute resolution with international influence.

This event is a practical action to implement the cooperation agreement signed between the CIETAC Hainan Arbitration Center and the Wenchang International Aerospace City Administration, and promote the high-quality development of the Wenchang International Aerospace City. About 100 representatives of enterprises from Wenchang International Aerospace City and other regions of Hainan participated in this event. The attendees stated that this event is very beneficial for commercial entities to know arbitration, understand arbitration, and use arbitration better. At the same time, it also further enhances the risk prevention capabilities of enterprise operations.
