On October 19, 2024, at the Voice of Financial Street – “Financial Street Release”: Special Session of Achievements Release  in the Annual Conference of Financial Street Forum 2024, which was jointly organized by the Beijing Financial Street Service Bureau and the China Economic Information Service , China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (“CIETAC”) and the Xicheng District People’s Government of Beijing Municipality signed the Framework Agreement on Strategic Cooperation in Foreign-related Rule of Law. Xu Yanbo, Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Secretary General of CIETAC, and Bing Hao, Vice Mayor of Xicheng District of Beijing, signed the Framework Agreement on Strategic Cooperation in Foreign-related Rule of Law.

According to the agreement, CIETAC and the Xicheng District People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, will strengthen communication and exchange in building a diversified dispute resolution mechanism, promoting international exchanges and cooperation, fostering foreign-related rule of law talents, and perfecting public legal services, etc., and establish a mechanism for cooperation, so as to further promote the Xicheng District to build a rule of law, professionalized, and internationalized business environment, and to inject a new impetus for the construction of foreign-related rule of law in China.

As the core functional area of the capital city, the Xicheng District of Beijing is the core bearing of the international communication center, and an important platform for serving and guaranteeing national diplomacy and the capital’s foreign affairs. The signing of the strategic cooperation agreement between CIETAC and Xicheng District People’s Government of Beijing Municipality is an important initiative for CIETAC to promote the construction of China’s foreign-related rule of law with its professional and high-quality arbitration legal services, which is of positive significance for serving high-quality development and promoting high-level opening-up to the outside world.
